Grace Kelly föddes i USA 1929, och var modell och skådespelerska. 1956 gifte hon sig med Furst Rainer III av Monaco och blev furstinna. De fick sedermera 3 barn, varav Albert är nuvarande furste i Monaco. Grace Kelly var en av Alfred Hitchcock musor, och var med i flera av hans filmer. Mannen du Gav Mig gav henne en oscarstatyett.
Grace anses vara en av världens största modeikoner, och hon förkroppsligade 50-talsmodet med stor perfektion. Hon var en riktigt aristokratisk dam, redan innan hon blev furstinna. Getingmidja och stora kjolar eller smala pennkjolar var hennes favoriter. Självklart får man inte glömma Hermés väska, som till och med döptes efter henne. Fortfarande är Kelly-bagen en av modehusets mest sålda. Grace föredrog uppsatt hår, eller en fin fönad, axellång frisyr. Pärlhalsband och armband var ständiga accesoarer.
1982 färdades Grace med sin dotter Stéphanie i bil på smala serpentinvägar i Frankrike. Bilen körde av vägen och Grace dog av sina skador medan Stéphanie endast blev lindrigt skadad. Det sägs att Grace drabbades av en stroke och körde av vägen, men rykten florerar även att Stéphanie var den som körde bilen.
